The New Nissan LEAF Electric Car at Criswell Nissan:
The New Nissan LEAF is a zero-emission car that runs exclusively on electric power! It is the first pure-electric car offered for sale to the mass market in the US.
The LEAF will be available in two trim levels: the based SV and uplevel SL. All models use a 107-horsepower electric motor as well as a lithium-ion battery pack. LEAF’s charging port offers a 110-volt or 220-volt household outlet. It takes about 20 hours to charge the battery from a 110-volt outlet and a special in-home 220-volt charging station takes about 8 hours for a full charge.
A “quick charge” port is available on all SL models. This feature is useful because it can charge the battery to 80 percent capacity in just 30 minutes.
